Catalina's 5th Birthday...A Princess Party

Catalina turns five on Tuesday! We had her Princess Birthday Ball this weekend. I asked her what the best part was...and she replied, "The whole thing, Mom. I can't believe the princesses were real!"

Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty arrive!

First thing we did was pose for pictures with the Princesses.

We are sure that Ava had the most fun. She was excited to show Cinderella her new bedroom and toy room. She tried to climb on Sleeping Beauty's lap for storytime. She has become quite the hostess and social butterfly!

Then the girls played a game, made beaded necklaces and bracelets, and the princesses read a story. Grand Finale....a song!

Headed back to their Chariot and on to the Castle. (JT saw the two of them get out of a Toyota Tercel....what a site with the hooped skirts!)

Busy, Busy Bees

We started the girl's room last weekend and finished this weekend!  Todd prepped the room and moved furniture with help from the girls.  I painted the guest room purple (with help from the girls).  

This weekend we took down Ava's crib and moved the bed's into the new room.  Their old room is now the toy room.  No more kid's toys in the the living room!!

The room is so sweet and they LOVE it!!  Ava took her first nap today in her big girl bed.  Cat and Ava were sleeping together at night in Cat's bed but Ava always took her nap in her crib.  It's about time Ava got her own bed...don't you think?

Licorice

I gave Catalina licorice.  What does she do?  She writes her name with it.

Ava ate hers of course!  I hope you are not  judging me because it's morning and they still have their pj's on and I gave them licorice....
